How to pack light

Have you ever came back from a trip feeling stupid for bringing things that you never used in the trip? Do you have problems thinking of what to bring during packing for a vacation?

Have your luggage ever been charged of overweight at the airport? Ever wonder how campers survive their trip with only bringing a daypack with them?

Well, I have the answers to your questions and solutions to your problems. Packing light is the remedy for all those troubles. It lessens your chances in being overweight and it also helps you to be able to travel more easily and hassle free. You may also save money by packing light; by avoiding the extra fee for overweight baggages.

There are two kinds of packing: good packing and bad packing. Bad packing is what people who are always bringing overweight luggage at the airports do. They tend to forget to bring what they really needed even though they have an overweight luggage, that is because of the excessive things they bring. Examples of bad packing is bringing of swimming suits on a trip to Greenland.  Good packing is packing light and right.

In packing light, there are certain things needed. Organizers and containers are a must. They are a big help, as they help you user your luggage space wisely. There are three steps to follow to reach the rightful way of packing. First, one must research well about the climate and temperature of the destination. It would also be advisable if they researched about the customs of the place. In doing so, he/she can be able to distinguish what clothes and things will or will not be needed. For example, a man would not bring his shorts on a trip to Australia in April. Secondly, he/she segregate the clothes that he/she thinks that would be needed in the trip. Segregate the clothes from their use due to certain activities;pajamas, beachwear, casual wear, party outfit and stuff. Segregate them again by thinking of their actual use(e.g. you don’t need to bring four pair of pajamas on a 2 night trip). Lastly, one should minimize their things. By minimizing, it means downsizing. Downsizing shampoos is a good example. You can downsize them by bringing the sachets and leaving the bottles at home.

In packing light, people should only bring the proper essential to a trip. He/she should practice the three steps to avoid bringing excessive materials. One should always keep in mind to pack for mobility, multi-purposely and essentiality.
